Achievements to date - May 2004 1.1 DOCTORS' SURGERY Following the LDC Energy consultation meeting in Ringmer on 4th May, it has been suggested that solar panels were considered for heating and/or lighting in the new building. This would follow the good example being set by Ringmer Community College. It was also suggested that inclusion of sustainable energy features should be made a condition of all new developments in the village. 1.2 HARVARD HOUSE We are awaiting the appointment of a new project manager who will be in charge of building a new old people's home on the Harvard Road site. 1.3 ADVICE/INFORMATION CENTRE We have bought a Village Diary which will be kept in the Village Post Office. We hope all village groups and individuals will use it, both for reference and to write in information advertising their events. It can be recognised by the photograph of Ringmer Village Green on the cover (as on the Village Action Plan). 1.4 SINGLE PARENT HOUSEHOLDS A possible helpful contact:- Single Parent Action Network Website: www.singleparent.org.uk Chris Game 0117 951 4231 chris@spanuk.org.uk NB: Free internet access available at Lewes library.
